Matroyshka Dolls

Just lately I've been busy creating some new designs for the summer's round of Craft Fairs. This is always an exciting time for me as I really enjoy getting out into the fresh air and (hopefully) sunshine and meeting some lovely people at these events. One of my new creations is my matroyshka dolls - Russian-style nesting dolls, but these are made in beautiful softly-coloured fabrics, including Cath Kidston and vintage feedsack scraps, and embellished with vintage buttons.

But ... they could be made in all sorts of fabrics and with many different embellishments depending on who makes them. They are really easy to make and far too nice to keep to myself ... so I've put a tutorial together with the templates for the dolls and it's free to download. I hope you enjoy making your matryoshka dolls too - I'd love to see some of the results!
And, as always, of course .. if you don't have time to make your own then you can purchase a set of 3 of my Matroyshka Dolls on my website, DevonBear Designs.
